Description
The ROTOR rescue and evacuation system is a basic system which includes a descender device with raising function via a detachable ratchet handle, rope, karabiners, anchor strop and bag. Used for evacuation from height.
The system enables evacuation from height and has been developed to meet the exacting requirements of onshore and offshore wind, oil & gas, energy and construction sectors.
At the core of the evacuation system is the ROTOR rescue and evacuation descender, an intuitive device which allows self-evacuation automatically limited maximum descent speed or controlled lowering or raising of a casualty. The ROTOR is fully waterproof and can control rope speed in either direction, meaning that repeated descents can be carried out in quick succession. The maximum descent height is 500m for 200kg or 220m for 250kg. Comes with 9.5 mm rope.
The ROTOR can also lift in either direction using the ratchet handle supplied. This enables multiple evacuees to use alternate rope ends. With the locking mechanism engaged the load is held if the handle is released. The maximum lift load of the ROTOR is 200kg.
The ROTOR can change from lift to lower (and vice versa) at any point whilst under load.
