Description

Double lanyard with integrated intermediate tie-back rings, energy absorber, and MGO connectors

The ABSORBICA-Y TIE-BACK MGO is a double lanyard with integrated intermediate tie-back rings and compact energy absorber. It is designed for vertical progression on very large structures and when passing intermediate anchor points. It works with users who weigh between 60 and 140 kg. The TIE-BACK system allows the user to wrap structures with very large cross sections. The arms are elasticized to avoid hindering progression. It's ready to use, with two large-opening MGO connectors on the end of the lanyard and a Bm'D connector for harness attachment.

  • Designed for progression on a vertical structure or horizontal lifeline, and when passing intermediate anchors
  • TIE-BACK intermediate tie-back rings on the lanyard allow the user to wrap structures with very large cross sections; in a rescue situation, these rings are also easily accessible for the rescuer, even when the person is suspended on the lanyard after a fall
  • Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
    • Progressive tearing of the energy absorber webbing limits the impact force on the user
    • Works with users who weigh between 60 and 140 kg (1)
  • Designed for use with a maximum length (including connectors) of:
    • 200 cm under the CE EN 355 standard
    • 183 cm (6 feet) under the ANSI Z359.13
  • Minimal bulk:
    • Energy absorber's very compact design doesn't hinder the user during operations
    • Elasticized arms to avoid hindering progression
  • Durable fabric pouch with a simple opening system protects the energy absorber from abrasion or contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorber
  • Ready-to-use solution: comes with two large-opening MGO connectors on the end of the lanyard and a Bm'D connector for harness attachment

(1) Under the CSA Z259.11-17 standard, the user must weigh between 75 and 140 kg.
